Doug believes very strongly in product presentation, spending countless hours re-arranging furniture and accessory groups, colour coordinating to ensure that every item in the showroom is featured to maximize its features and benefits. For with each piece displayed there is a quality story to tell and thus a reason for it being there, just like your home it must "fit" or it doesn't belong.

Dave Mitchell
From delivery helper in 1978, (with Doug as the driver), to his role today in sales and management, Dave has come a long way in his furniture career at Guerard's. Through the years, Dave has worked in every aspect of the business including deliveries, warehouse and repairs and he is still not above hopping in the truck to ensure customers receive their furniture on time. Dave's wealth of experience in the furniture business certainly originates from the early days at Guerard's, but as the times have changed, so has our good friend Dave. He now travels to Canada's premiere furniture show each year to assist in the selection of colours and styles which make Guerard's the unique and distinctive store that it is. Much loved by everyone for his sense of humor, Dave plays an integral role in building Guerard's positive team approach to business, providing all the employees with an honest family type atmosphere. The success of Guerard's can be directly related to long term employees like Dave Mitchell, who go the extra mile for their customers and for the company too. When not hard at work at the store which is rare, Dave's hobbies include computer graphics, photography and mountain biking. Dave is a dedicated member of Scouts Canada and he currently serves as the Council Commissioner for Cascadia Council.

Barb Gair
Barb is now in her 18th year of furniture sales at Guerard's, and is yet another example of the vital role people and experience play in the overall success of Guerard's. Her extensive previous experience in the television and electronics field allowed Barb to adapt well to sales and she was quick to learn all aspects of the furniture industry. Barb enjoys helping customers choose their furniture by providing them with decorating ideas based on her professional knowledge of styles and fabrics, and most importantly, giving her honest opinion. As any customer who has worked with Barb well knows, it is her complete knowledge of every aspect of the furniture component that is so impressive. If Guerard's doesn't stock it, she knows how to source it through an extensive collection of manufacturer's catalogues and fabric samples at her disposal. If it is not available through the Guerard's network, then Barb will make the necessary calls and actually refer a customer to a competitor's product! Guerard's are very proud to have Barb Gair on staff and consider her to be one of their greatest assets.

When not in the showroom Barb enjoys golf, loves camping and sewing but her greatest joy is spending times with her children and grand-daughter all of whom reside in the Okanagan.

Bonnie Save-Jones
Bonnie is the newest member of the Guerard’s team. Having spent many years in the retail sector from selling jewellery to eyewear, she is now living her dream of working with home décor and furnishings. Bonnie loves to re-decorate in her own home or the homes of family and friends.

Bonnie and her husband David have resided in the Okanagan for 17 years and loves the lifestyle Penticton has to offer. Bonnie would be more than happy to assist you with any of your home furnishing needs.

Agnes Stayanovich

Agnes is a Certified Interior Designer and has been working with Guerard Furniture since the fall of 2005, while Agnes owns and operates her own design Business she can be found in Guerards Fridays and Saturdays doing what she loves best and that is helping clients create beautiful rooms.

Agnes started her design career in Toronto and then moved to Victoria as a design merchandiser, winning awards and accolades for creative talents. 

Shortly after moving to Penticton Agnes became certified as an Interior designer and began her own business. Agnes Stayanovich Interior Design is celebrating its 10 years in business this year.

While not working Agnes loves to have dinner parties with friends and drink wine.
